Remixes
by The Jeremy Days
1988 & 1989. The Jeremy Days were a really good German band from Hamburg.
I remixed these songs at West Studios, Shepherd Bush, London. My bosses Clive Langer & Alan Winstanley (Made, Dexy's Midnight Runners, Bush, Elvis Costello) had produced the album and I got to do these remixes. I feel like I was still working at West Side at the time of thee mixes but looking at the release dates for these two, I must have already gone freelance by then.
I like the 'Baba O'Riley' (The Who) sequencer that comes in at 3'14" on Brand New Toy - I wish I'd used more of that!
Great guitar riff on Rome Wasn't Built In Day. And the chord sequence - not at all like The Cure's 'A Forest'
Still like these mixes a lot today.
